Newest clivia

I just bought this variegated Sparrow Clivia. As you can see, it has flowers forming. Unfortunately, on receiving this plant, the flowers were stuck in the plant. I tried different methods of trying to coax the flowers up. I first placed it in the dark. I then heard lots of light and warmth work. Also some fertilizer would help also. I was able to get one flower high enough, I think to pollinate. I'm hoping for the best!!!!

You posted this several years ago, and you've probably realized by now that when the plant gets short flowers like that, you need to give it a large amount of water. The flower stem will shoot up quickly.
